The Vatican’s chief astronomer says there is no conflict between believing in God and in the possibility of extraterrestrial “brothers” perhaps more evolved than humans.
I like things that stretch the mind. I also like “controversial” topics. I read an article today that spoke much common sense pertaining to religion and science. A rare find in our dualistic society.
Personally, I’ve never found that science and religion contradict each other. It fascinates me how much dogma both science and religion adopt and/or cling to in an effort to denounce the other. EVOLUTION does not contradict CREATION, nor vice versa. Science and religious faith can exist in the same space. They are not mutually exclusive.
As a quick disclaimer, I’m a Christian, however, not a Catholic. In this short article, Reverend José Gabriel Funes, head of the Vatican Observatory and a scientific adviser to Pope Benedict XVI says,
“As an astronomer, I continue to believe that God is the creator of the universe and that we are not the product of something casual but children of a good father who has a project of love in mind for us.”
He also says the “BIG BANG” was probably the start of the universe. Hey, we don’t know HOW God created the universe. This guy makes a lot of sense to me.
You can read the article here.
Enjoy!

Earlier today (yesterday if we’re gonna be technical) I was organizing my files. You know, going through each pile, sorting, and creating new files. :o) Anyways, I found a great quote! At least I think so, because I’m the one who thought it, then wrote it down so I’d remember. I put it in a place where it would be easily accessible so I could post it in my blog.
It’s late, and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s somewhere, but for the life of me, I can’t locate it. And some claim there’s no such thing as adhd. If there’s no such thing as adhd, then there’s no such thing as me either. I’m the poster child of ADHD!
Luckily I found some other quotes.
“No one ever achieved worthwhile success who did not find themselves with at least one foot hanging well over the brink of failure.” - Napolean Hill
“It’s what we concentrate on that we become. It’s what we concentrate on that determines the direction of our growth, or even if we grow at all. Nobody grows who concentrates on the past. But growth is produced in everyone who has his face and mind and heart turned toward the future.” - unknown
I didn’t write down the author’s name on the second quote, but my guess is that it’s Uell Anderson.
Enjoy!

It’s been 4 days since my last post. I’ve had so much to do. I want to keep up on my posts. I have so much to say. BUT … here’s the j.o.b., the chores, spring yard work, Mother’s Day … and the fact I can’t seem to get a good night’s sleep. I’m busy! Genuinely busy.
I know at least as much as anyone about what an adder is talking about when it comes to OVERWHELM. And it’s only something a person with ADHD can truly understand. You know what I’m talking about. For me, it brings on complete PARALYSIS. And then I drive myself nuts adding all the things I didn’t get done (from the overwhelm induced paralysis) to my new lists of things to get done, and the circle never ends …
What am I getting at?
Sometimes in life you really do get busy. Important things really do come up. We have holidays. Plans and ideas change. Even bad things happen. But you know something?
It’s okay. The world keeps moving. Take a deep breath and relax. As you can see, my blog is still here (even after being left alone for a few days), and those extra days gave me a good example of an important topic to talk about. Breath in. Breath out. Relax …
Life isn’t a BIG TO-DO list. It just is what it is. Sometimes it can be very busy, and sometimes being busy isn’t overwhelm. It’s just plain having to much to do. That’s all. We talked about accepting our weaknesses and imperfections as our very essence - human. It’s also important to note that having too much to do and not getting it all done sometimes is nothing more than being HUMAN.
It’s not always a condition. There’s nothing wrong with you. It’s perfectly normal NOT to get things done, and be completely OVERWHELMED at times. It’s life. It’s the perfection of imperfection. Human.
I use mind-mapping tools and the Task Coach software I told you about to help myself stay on track, and get the things done I want to get done. As an adder - as ANYONE - it’s good to work on your life and improve the way you go about things.
But wanting to improve doesn’t mean YOU are wrong, have screwed things up, and need to be fixed when you get off schedule. In fact, getting off schedule is NO BIG DEAL AT ALL! Let the rest of the world (the non-adders) worry about that.
